Product Description
Stainless steel wire rope is made from chromium-nickel alloy wires that resist corrosion without any coating. AISI 304 is an economical choice for indoor and general outdoor use, while molybdenum-bearing AISI 316 (A4) offers superior resistance in salt water and chemical environments. Thanks to its aesthetic look it is also preferred for glass balustrades, stair ropes, green façades and pendant lighting systems.
The 1x19 construction is the stiffest with the least stretch, so it is used for balustrades and tensioning; 7x7 for rope systems needing medium flexibility; and 7x19 for flexible applications running over sheaves. We cut the rope to your size and help you choose terminals and turnbuckles.

What is the difference between AISI 304 and AISI 316?
AISI 316 contains molybdenum and is far more resistant to chloride (salt) corrosion. Use 316 by the sea, around pools and in chemical environments; 304 is sufficient indoors and for general use.
Which rope is suitable for balustrades?
The 1x19 construction, with the lowest stretch, is the best choice for balustrades and tensioning systems; Ø 4–6 mm is usually preferred.
