Product Description
Galvanized steel wire rope is made by coating each wire with zinc by hot-dip or electro-galvanizing. The zinc layer protects the rope against moisture and rain, giving a much longer life than black rope in systems working outdoors. Stiffer constructions such as 6x7 suit abrasive conditions, while multi-wire constructions such as 6x19 and 6x36 suit flexible applications running over sheaves.
We cut galvanized steel wire rope from our warehouse to the length you need or ship it as a full reel. The most common uses are fence and garden tensioning, greenhouse suspension systems, light winch and hoist applications, and trailer and awning connections. You can get clips, turnbuckles and shackles for the end terminations in the same order.

FAQ
Does galvanized steel wire rope rust?
The zinc coating protects the rope for a long time; however, superficial rust may appear in salty marine environments or where the coating wears. For marine environments we recommend stainless (AISI 316) rope.
Do you sell by the metre?
Yes. We cut galvanized steel wire rope to any length for retail and supply full reels for wholesale.
