Product Description

A turnbuckle (also known locally as “liftırga” or tensioning screw) tensions or slackens the rope as its body is turned, thanks to counter-threaded rods at both ends. It is used to take up the sag of the rope in wire fences, awning and canopy systems, greenhouse wires, balustrade ropes and sailing boat rigging.

The pictured model is a stainless hook-eye turnbuckle. The hook end allows quick fitting; where there is vibration or a permanent load, an eye-eye or jaw-end turnbuckle should be preferred. Always choose the turnbuckle according to the rope diameter and working load, and make sure enough thread remains inside the body.
