Product Description
A wire rope clip is the most practical way to form a fixed eye by folding the rope end back on itself. It consists of a U-bolt, a saddle (bridge) and two nuts. The picture shows, from left to right, a galvanized bow shackle, a DIN 741 galvanized clip and a yellow-passivated forged heavy-duty clip.
Correct installation rule: the saddle always goes on the load-bearing (live) end and the U-bolt on the free (dead) end. Depending on the rope diameter, at least three clips should be used, spaced about six rope diameters apart, and the nuts retightened after the first load. For lifting applications, use certified DIN 1142 clips.

FAQ
How many clips go on one rope end?
It depends on the rope diameter; at least 3 on small diameters and 4–6 on large diameters. The saddle must always be on the load-bearing end.
